JLR SDD — Symptom Driven Diagnostics Software

JLR SDD (Symptom Driven Diagnostics) is the legacy diagnostic software for pre-2017 Jaguar Land Rover vehicles. While it has been superseded by Pathfinder for newer models, it remains essential for maintaining and upgrading older JLR vehicles.

What is JLR SDD?

SDD is JLR's original diagnostic platform, introduced in 2005 and used through 2016. It uses a symptom-driven approach to diagnostics, guiding technicians through fault finding based on reported symptoms rather than raw fault codes. SDD is essential for pre-2017 JLR vehicles that do not support the newer DOIP protocol.
