Why Factory Calibration Matters
Many Jaguar Land Rover diesel engines share identical hardware across different power outputs. A D200, D250, D300, and D350 all use the same 3.0-litre Ingenium I6 engine with the same turbocharger, intercooler, fuel system, and internals. The only difference is the factory software calibration. By applying the higher-output calibration, we unlock power that JLR engineers have already developed, tested, and validated - without pushing the engine beyond its designed limits.

Warranty & Detection
Because we use factory calibration files, detection by the manufacturer is extremely unlikely. The vehicle's electronic fingerprint matches that of a factory high-power model. However, as with any modification, each owner must assess their comfort level. We have never experienced a warranty claim related to our power upgrades, and we store your original calibration should you ever need to revert.
Frequently Asked Questions
We use factory calibration files that are identical to those on high-power models from the same production line. Detection is extremely unlikely. However, as with any vehicle modification, there is always some theoretical risk. We store your original calibration and can revert at any time if needed.
No. Software Over The Air (SOTA) updates from Jaguar Land Rover will not revert our power upgrades. The calibration is stored in the engine control module (ECM) and is not affected by infotainment or connectivity updates.
In the vast majority of cases, yes. The 3.0-litre Ingenium I6 diesel engine used in D200, D250, D300, and D350 variants shares the same block, pistons, crankshaft, turbocharger, intercooler, and fuel system. The power difference is achieved entirely through software calibration of boost pressure, fuel injection timing, and torque limits.
Surprisingly, many customers report similar or even slightly improved fuel economy. Because the engine produces more torque at lower RPMs, it doesn't need to work as hard during normal driving. However, if you use the extra power frequently, fuel consumption will naturally increase.
The actual calibration process takes approximately 1-2 hours. We also perform a pre-upgrade health check and post-upgrade test drive, so please allow 3-4 hours total. Remote coding via our loaner tool kit is also available for customers who cannot visit in person.
