These Terms of Service govern your use of JLR Activations' website and services. By using our website or booking our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Service Description
JLR Activations provides independent specialist services for Jaguar Land Rover vehicles, including but not limited to:
- Software feature activations and de-activations
- Factory-based engine power upgrades using OEM calibration files
- Hardware retrofits using genuine Jaguar Land Rover parts
- Diagnostic support and coding assistance for independent workshops
- Technician training programmes
We are an independent specialist service provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Jaguar Land Rover Automotive PLC or Tata Motors.
2. Booking & Payment
- All services require a confirmed booking. Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
- A deposit may be required for hardware retrofits and power upgrades to secure parts ordering.
- Payment is due in full before or at the time of service unless you have an approved trade account with agreed payment terms.
- We accept major credit/debit cards, bank transfer, PayPal, and cash for in-person services.
- Cancellations within 48 hours of a booked appointment may incur a cancellation fee.
3. Vehicle Requirements
- Your vehicle must be in good general condition with a fully charged battery.
- We reserve the right to refuse service if pre-service diagnostics reveal electrical faults, low battery voltage, or other conditions that could compromise safe programming.
- You must provide all available key fobs at the time of service.
- For remote coding services, you are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection and following all preparation instructions provided.
4. Warranty & Guarantees
- Software Activations: 30-day support guarantee. If any activated feature stops working within 30 days, we will re-activate it free of charge.
- Power Upgrades: 12-month warranty on the calibration. If the upgrade fails or causes drivability issues within 12 months, we will investigate and rectify at no charge.
- Hardware Retrofits: 12-month parts and labour warranty on all genuine JLR parts installed by us.
- Exclusions: Warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, unauthorised modifications, or failure to follow post-service instructions.
5. Configuration Backups
We create a backup of your vehicle's original configuration before performing any coding or programming work. This backup is stored securely for a minimum of 12 months. If you wish to revert to your original configuration at any time, we can do so subject to a standard service fee. We cannot guarantee that all original configurations can be fully restored, particularly if the vehicle has received manufacturer software updates since our service.
6. Limitation of Liability
- Our liability is limited to the value of the service provided. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.
- While we use genuine OEM processes and tools, we cannot guarantee that manufacturer diagnostic systems will not detect modifications in all circumstances.
- Vehicle warranty implications are the responsibility of the vehicle owner. We provide information to help you make an informed decision, but we cannot guarantee warranty outcomes.
- We are not liable for issues arising from pre-existing vehicle faults that were not disclosed or detected during pre-service diagnostics.
7. Remote Services
- Remote coding services require you to use our provided diagnostic interface (loaner tool kit) according to instructions.
- A refundable deposit may be required for the loaner tool kit, which will be returned upon safe receipt of the equipment.
- You are responsible for ensuring your vehicle battery is adequately charged and stable internet connectivity is available during the remote session.
- We are not liable for connection failures caused by your internet service or local network conditions.
8. Workshop & Trade Services
- Trade account holders agree to use our coding files, technical guidance, and training materials solely for legitimate vehicle service purposes.
- Resale or redistribution of our proprietary calibration files, documentation, or training materials is strictly prohibited.
- Workshops using our remote diagnostic support remain responsible for their own workmanship and customer relationships.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and technical documentation, is the property of JLR Activations or used under licence. Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or modification is prohibited. Jaguar Land Rover, Defender, Range Rover, Discovery, Velar, Evoque, F-Pace, F-Type, I-Pace, E-Pace, InControl, PIVI Pro, and related trademarks are property of Jaguar Land Rover Automotive PLC.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
