P400 Power Upgrade for Land Rover Defender
For Jaguar Land Rover vehicles, the P3XX inline 6-cylinder engine is 100% mechanically identical to the high-spec P400 engine in terms of hardware architecture, core structure, intake system, cooling system, fuel supply, and turbocharger components. From the factory, the vehicle’s electronic control system already contains the complete P400 high-performance OEM ECU calibration.
The power limitation on factory P3XX models is only a software restriction, not a hardware difference. Therefore, no physical modifications are required — the full P400 factory power output can be safely and non-invasively unlocked via genuine OEM programming.
Installation Process
This upgrade is a pure software remote OEM programming service, with no complicated cutting, modification, or mechanical disassembly required. All on-site operations, including equipment connection, adapter installation, and wiring, must be completed by the customer locally. All on-site operational risks and related responsibilities are borne by the customer.

Activation Procedure
The entire upgrade follows Jaguar Land Rover’s official standard programming protocol. It is simple to operate, suitable for users with no technical background, and completely safe and non-invasive without affecting the stability of the original vehicle systems.
- Submit the vehicle’s unique VIN code for our technical team to verify model, configuration, and system version compatibility to confirm eligibility for the upgrade.
- Confirm your order online to lock in the vehicle-specific upgrade authorization, with one-to-one VIN binding to ensure precise calibration matching.
- Install TeamViewer remote desktop software on your computer, and provide your ID and password to establish a secure remote connection for our technicians to perform programming and activation.
- Turn the vehicle ignition to the ON position, keep the vehicle stationary with a stable electrical supply, and connect the JLR ENET diagnostic adapter between your computer and the vehicle’s OBD2 port to ensure reliable data transmission.
- Our technical team will remotely complete the unlocking and writing of the OEM high-power calibration. Once finished, the factory-hidden P400 high-performance power will be activated immediately, while fully retaining all original vehicle functions and electronic control logic.
