The Climate‑timer function is managed by the HVA climate‑control‑module in coordination with BCM body‑gateway, infotainment IMC and powertrain modules. Once a departure schedule and target temperature are saved in the infotainment, the HVA calculates the required activation time and triggers pre‑conditioning according to ambient‑temperature conditions. For combustion‑engine vehicles this may utilise park‑heat auxiliary heater hardware; PHEV units leverage high‑voltage battery energy when plugged‑in. Feature‑enablement requires coordinated CCF edits within HVAC‑domain blocks alongside infotainment‑HMI flags to expose climate‑timer scheduling menus. This coding workflow reads and backs‑up original factory CCF dataset, enables climate‑timer fitment‑flags, executes multi‑module integrity validation and writes modified configuration back via OBD‑II connection. Post‑write, controlled HVA and infotainment‑module resets plus full‑vehicle sleep‑wake cycle are mandatory for timer‑menu entries and scheduling‑logic to initialise. This is purely software‑based activation; all required HVAC and heating‑related physical hardware must already be factory‑installed. Full roll‑back to factory‑spec can be achieved restoring the backed‑up original CCF file.

Climate‑timer cannot be enabled‑by‑coding‑alone if required HVAC or auxiliary‑heating hardware is missing or faulty. Supported MY2015‑2025 Range‑Rover, Range‑Rover‑Sport, Defender, Discovery, Velar, Evoque and full Jaguar passenger‑car ranges including MHEV and PHEV derivatives. Host‑system requirement: Windows 10 / Windows 11 64‑bit PC with valid SX‑TOOL software licence.
