Configurable Dynamic Mode
Configurable Dynamic Mode is chassis‑domain feature‑activation service for Jaguar Land Rover vehicles factory‑equipped with Adaptive Dynamics hardware. Many JLR models fitted with adaptive dampers, variable‑ratio electric power steering and ZF automatic transmission contain full hardware capability for Configurable Dynamic Mode, yet this customisable drive‑profile function remains locked via factory CCF configuration flags. Using SX‑TOOL engineering software over CAN‑bus or DoIP protocols, qualified technicians modify powertrain‑and‑chassis‑domain CCF parameters to unlock Configurable Dynamic Mode, letting drivers independently adjust throttle response, transmission shift strategy, steering weight and adaptive damping through the infotainment touch‑screen for supported MY2015‑2025 JLR architectures.
Technical Overview
Standard JLR Dynamic mode applies one fixed preset for all chassis parameters. By contrast, Configurable Dynamic Mode gives independent per‑parameter selection between Comfort and Dynamic calibrations. Feature enablement relies on multi‑block CCF edits touching BCM body controller, PCM powertrain module, PSCM power‑steering control, SCM suspension control and infotainment HMI configuration blocks. The coding workflow reads the original factory CCF dataset, enables ConfigDynamicMode and Dynamic‑i display flags, executes cross‑module integrity validation and writes modified configuration back over OBD‑II connection. Post‑write, controlled module resets plus full vehicle sleep‑wake cycle are required for HMI menu items to appear and take full effect. This is purely software‑based CCF modification; Adaptive Dynamics chassis hardware must already be fitted. Full roll‑back is available restoring the original backed‑up CCF file back to factory specification.
Core Technical Activation Capabilities
- Multi‑block CCF parameter modification to unlock Configurable Dynamic Mode for Adaptive Dynamics‑equipped JLR vehicles
- Enables independent adjustment for throttle mapping, transmission shift behaviour, steering assistance level and adaptive damper stiffness via touch‑screen menu
- Pre‑write cross‑module CCF integrity validation preventing incompatible chassis‑domain parameter combinations before writing to vehicle ECUs
- Complete CCF backup‑restore workflow, preserving original factory configuration before applying chassis‑related configuration changes
- Chassis‑system diagnostic routines: read PCM, PSCM, SCM DTC faults, verify pre‑activation and post‑activation feature‑flag status
- Session‑log generation capturing vehicle VIN, timestamp and modified chassis‑CCF parameters for internal workshop audit‑trail purposes.
Vehicle, Hardware & System Prerequisites
Critical hardware prerequisite: vehicle must have factory‑fitted Adaptive Dynamics adaptive‑damping hardware plus compatible ZF automatic transmission. Configurable Dynamic Mode cannot be activated by coding alone if suspension control hardware is missing. Supported MY2015‑2025 Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Velar, Evoque and full Jaguar model ranges. Host‑system requirement: Windows 10 / Windows 11 64‑bit PC with valid SX‑TOOL software licence. Use J2534 pass‑through adapters for older CAN‑bus vehicles or Enet‑WiFi / Type‑C Enet‑cable hardware for DoIP‑platform vehicles. Stable regulated 12 V battery supply is mandatory for all CCF‑write cycles and module resets. Some late‑model secure‑gateway‑protected vehicles may require supplementary online authorisation for chassis‑domain configuration writes.
What This Activation Service Includes
