Jaguar Land Rover equips 2019 Jaguar I-PACE with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functions. Selected 2019 and newer models equipped with InControl Touch Pro or Touch Pro Duo infotainment systems support the smartphone connection pack as an optional upgrade.

After activation, drivers can control mainstream mobile applications including Spotify, WhatsApp and Waze directly through the vehicle touchscreen. Supported vehicles also allow voice control operation for simpler and safer driving interaction. Users only need to connect their smartphone via a compatible USB cable and select CarPlay or Android Auto on the vehicle display.

The smartphone pack is factory standard for all Jaguar I-PACE models. Starting from the 2019 model year, all JLR vehicles equipped with navigation, InControl Apps and Wi-Fi function support this optional smartphone connection upgrade, with an original factory retail price of approximately $300, varying by vehicle trim level.

InControl Touch Pro System Introduction

First launched in 2016, the InControl Touch Pro system adopts a quad-core processor, 60GB high-speed SSD and ultra-fast Ethernet network, greatly improving vehicle infotainment response speed and user experience. It features a 10-inch full-touch screen with no physical buttons, integrating all control functions at the bottom of the screen for smooth operation.

The system supports customizable home screens and functional widgets. Thanks to high-speed SSD storage, map loading and data response speeds are significantly faster than traditional vehicle systems. It supports pinch-to-zoom and drag map gestures. When GPS signals are unavailable, the system uses vehicle sensor data for dead-reckoning positioning to maintain accurate navigation.

The intelligent navigation system can automatically calculate remaining fuel or battery range. If the remaining range is insufficient, the system will automatically display accessible gas stations or charging stations on the route and support one-click waypoint addition. With network connection, users can share destinations, real-time vehicle locations and ETA via email or message.

The system supports automatic ETA updates in traffic congestion. Commute Mode learns daily driving habits and recommends optimal routes to avoid traffic. When approaching the destination within 200 meters, Approach Mode displays a 360° panoramic view and nearby parking lots for accurate guidance.

InControl Touch Pro Duo System Introduction

The Touch Pro Duo dual-screen system debuted on the 2018 Range Rover Velar and is standard on 2019 Jaguar I-PACE, Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models. It optimizes the hardware and interaction logic of the Touch Pro system for safer and more intuitive operation.

The dual upper and lower touchscreen design independently manages navigation, infotainment, HVAC, seat settings and driving mode functions, realizing reasonable functional division. The upper screen supports tapping, swiping and zooming gestures and customizable shortcut functions.

Dual rotary knobs beside the lower screen precisely control temperature, wind speed, seat heating, ventilation and massage functions, and can also adjust media and phone functions. The high-resolution interactive instrument cluster supports multiple display modes and centralized control of navigation, media and phone functions.
